Development of CT-like Imaging Function for BRANSIST safire Angiography System VC17

چکیده
The main aim of CT-like imaging is, by allowing 3D information to be obtained during IVR treatment without moving the patient, to help increase the safety of examinations and treatments and improve therapeutic efficacy. 3D-angiography is another technique that allows 3D information to be reconstructed from rotational images obtained with a C-arm. It is mainly used, however, to visualize blood vessels illuminated with contrast medium, whereas CT-like imaging offers much greater low-contrast resolution, making it possible to visualize tumor stains. Because of this characteristic, CT-like imaging is mainly used for the following two applications: 1) The identification of feeding vessels in the execution of chemotherapy for a tumor and the determination of the appropriate amount of drugs for chemotherapy to be used from the size of the affected area. 2) Evaluation of efficacy and checking for bleeding after IVR treatment. Patients used to be moved to the CT room during IVR treatment for the above reasons. With CT-like imaging, the risk of this movement is avoided and information can be obtained quickly. An IVR-CT system has the same functions, but both in terms of cost and operation, CT-like imaging attains superior cost-effectiveness. Fig. 1 shows a clinical image obtained with this system using CT-like imaging during arterial portography. A defect of contrast medium in the liver tumor can be seen clearly.

متن کاملحفاظت پرتویی بیماران در سی تی آنژیوگرافی قلب
Introduction: Cardiac CT (Computed Tomography) angiography applies as a pre-exam method for evaluating the patients with medical problems in their cardiac arteries. Due to the high delivered dose in this imaging method, dose reduction techniques and imaging strategies that serve the images quality with minimum patient dose are the subjects for investigation and research studies. This study will...
متن کاملEvaluation of the confounding factors disturbing the quality of CT images of pulmonary angiography
Background: Since pulmonary angiography is the only non-invasive method for diagnosing pulmonary embolism, the use of radiation reduction methods without affecting the quality of images seems necessary. One of the simplest reasons for unnecessarily increasing of patient exposure is repetitive imaging due to poor image quality. Therefore, it is necessary to identify and ...
متن کاملReducing radiation dose and enhancing imaging quality of 4DCT for radiation therapy using iterative reconstruction algorithms
Purpose Four-dimensional computed tomography (CT) images are typically used to quantify the necessary internal target volumes for thoracic and abdominal tumors. However, 4-dimensional CT is typically associated with excessive imaging dose to patients and the situation is exacerbated when using repeat 4-dimensional CT imaging on a weekly or daily basis throughout fractionated therapy. The aim of...
متن کاملDesign and Fabrication Process of MTF Phantom CT Scan
Introduction: One of the main steps in the optimization process in diagnostic imaging is the quality control of radiology devices. The usual method of CT scan calibration is used of a phantom. The phantom created a certain weakening for the radiation through which it passes. One of the most suitable methods for quantitative analysis of the resolution and contrast in CT scan im...
